A joint venture between North American energy storage developer Convergent Energy + Power and Shell, through its subsidiary Shell New Energy, will install 21MWh of industrial systems in Ontario, the companies announced on May 8.

The first two projects under the JV are in the construction phase at Shell Canada Products facilities in Brockville and Sarnia, Ontario.

Convergent is Ontario’s biggest ESS operator with 26MW in service.
